New York Center for Autism
The New York Center for Autism, founded in 2003, has been an instrumental force in model programs educating and serving children on the autism spectrum and their families. NYCA has also fostered collaboration and dialogue within the autism community nationwide. The purpose of the NYCA is to address the serious gaps in the areas of education, training, clinical services, support and research related to ASD (autism spectrum disorder). NYCA identifies areas of need and facilitates collaboration among resources from the public, private and governmental sectors. Our mission is to develop programs that provide individuals and families living with ASD access to comprehensive, evidence-based educational services, to support the development of community resources to support individuals with ASD and to coordinate and facilitate ongoing research into ASD. |
